Welcome to Grace
Welcome to the Grace Lutheran Church web site! I am glad that you have accessed our site to learn more about us and what our Grace is all about. It can be challenging to visit a church for the first time, so I’m hoping that we’ve made it a bit easier to experience a bit of “grace” even before you walk through our doors. At the heart of our congregation is the foundation of God’s love for us in Jesus Christ that cannot be earned, bought, or produced; it is given to us freely and without any strings attached. We celebrate this love that constantly surrounds and fills us. As you page through the various parts of this web site, I hope that you will see God’s love at the heart of everything we do.
There are three words we use to keep us focused on our mission: Welcome, Encourage, and Equip. They describe our purpose: to grow in God’s love to serve our world. We believe that this is best accomplished through friendships we have in our faith community. Grace is our “faith forming and training” place and so welcoming people just as they are AND building community is very important to us. We are strengthened by God’s love so that we can serve others. Throughout this web site are opportunities for learning, friendship groups, ministry teams, fellowship events and outreach opportunities.
If you are searching for a church or to discover more about God’s love, the best way I know is to stop by for a visit. We are mindful that it can be intimidating to come to a church for the first time, so we work very hard at welcoming people. We will not ask visitors to stand up, wear a name tag or ask you to give any money. But you may be greeted and welcomed by an enthusiastic member of our Grace.
Again, thank you for visiting our site and I hope it proves to be helpful. If you have questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact us.
In His Grace,
Pastor Mark Hellmann
Senior Pastor
